first they were Broslovski, then Brovlofski, then Broflofski, but they're actually Broflovski...
what the hell is going on with their name??

Not a lot of attention paid to details in the early seasons.

Also there are a couple cases where the name was intentionally mutilated. Most names out of the Slavic language family (most Eastern European Jews have names that are of Slavic or Germanic origin) are fodder for screwing around with. Just look at a Chicago phonebook for proof.

And then there is if it is being pulled from an actual name reference like a number of names of the show have been. Most Slavic languages are written in the Cryllic alphabet with several letters that have different accepted spellings in the Latin alphabet.

But the most likely guess is that they weren't paying all that much attention in the beginning as most of those inconsistencies are from the early seasons.

Yep. Once they were assured the show was going to stay a while, they began to pay more attention to the world in it. But sometimes they still slip up.

All mistakes are known and done on purpose you cant spend that much time on somthing and not know they just do it so people like you talk about it

I've always wondered how many 'mistakes' on the show are just the creative team screwing around versus the number that pop up due to sleep deprivation during the creation process.
