You want to see real children dying and sh*t? SP wouldn't be funny at all in live action. And as someone said, it would royally be suckage.
The sp boys are awesome as cut outs, who wants to see real people?
If you want live south park type stuff, watch their live action movies. Cannibal the Musical is the most south parky IMO

The rumour started because Parker and Stone are doing two live action films, "My All-American" and "Giant Monsters Attack Japan!". The first is a High-School Comedy and the second is a spoof of those Japanesse monster movies.

Uh... no way. I don't think even a stage musical would turn out right (and some other theater company actually made a short-running musical that you can read about in the Scriptorium.) SP was just made to be animated, dear. The closest we'll ever come to a real-life SP is cosplaying.

South Park is it's animation style, and would really suffer if made into a live action musicle; however, that doesn't stop me dressing like Kyle all the time! PS. anyone seen the 2000 Oscars video when they got live action vertion of the song 'blame cannada'? It truely was awful.

Live obviously wouldn't work, but having it dubbed over would.
Finding a cast that look like the characters, and then having them act would be a challenge, but could be humorous in the end.
Still, it'd probably be better animated. Too many times have we seen animated-cartoon to real life crossovers that stunk.
If woulds and coulds were wood and oil, everyone would be happy.

First of all, I don't think South Park with real KIDS would work. I think even MnT know they would catch way too much hell for having real kids saying the kinds of things they say.
Now, there is the possibility of the grown actors playing the roles of the boys, but that leaves a big hole with Stan and Eric.
Matt could play Kyle, he could record the usual Kenny talk and dub it over Dian or someone in a orange jacket...but since Trey plays Stan and Eric...that would be a huge hole. I don't see anyone else able to do either character.
