2012 - The end? or not?

Something will probably end this year.

Just because the Mayan calendar will end doesn't mean life will end. that's like saying my pen will run out so my life will end.. it's as bizarre as that.

Someone needs to tell all my shit that the world isn't ending because at the rate it's been breaking this year, it makes me think all my stuff started a 2012 suicide cult.


Some of my favorite cable channels have turned into the Armageddon Network and it's really annoying. Even NatGeo has jumped on this psuedo-science bandwagon, and they had been the last hold out against this tide of mystery mongering. But nope, wherever Discovery goes, they follow. And that means shows about Mayans and shows about Alaska.

Perhaps that's what the Mayans were talking about; in 2012 literally every job in the state of Alaska will be a reality show on cable and it will lead us all to kill ourselves. "This week on Wal-Mart Greeters of Alaska..."
Remember when South Park did that parody of Cops in the episode Chicken Fucker? We all smiled at the ridiculous idea of following cops around podunk little shit towns where nothing interesting happens. Well here we are 15 years later and not only is that a show now, but it's like 3 shows.

Well, it's been like that for some time time now. NatGeo thrives on sensationalist BS shows involving super-storms, mega-volcanoes and hyper-tsunamis which will change the face of the Earth forever. NatGeo, Discovery and History Channel are competing which one will make the stupidest, most pseudo-scientific show ever. Whenever one network creates a show that gets good ratings, others follow. one of the reasons I stopped watching TV.

Yes, it will be the end of "2012."
