Matt and Trey said they were NEVER work with puppets ever again, so that idea is DOA.

But if someone else wants to do it, they'd like to see it.

Do Matt Stone and/or Trey Parker own the Team America IP or is it Viacom?

What does that mean? I just know "Internet Protocol."

Intellectual Property.

I know Viacom has distribution rights to Team America, but who owns the copyright.

Aside from what the guys have already said about Team America, I dislike sequels to movies that weren't made for them. It looks like a blatant cash grab and they almost never do justice to the original. I'd rather M&T focus on doing something new. That would be more fun.

Team America was a great movie for the times back when it was released. The country was just starting to wake up to the consequences of post-9/11 jingoism and nationalistic fervor and TA really played off of that. More than anything, though, it was a send-up of the action blockbuster genre. The parody aspect further complicates doing another one. Because it's hard to do that without repeating yourself. Just look at all those Waynes Brothers' parody flicks. They turn into an incoherent string of pop culture references that will be completely dated and obscure in 10 years.

I'd rather Team America remain a unique jewel.
