We've noticed. And some of us have responded by making threads about it and others of us by installing ad-blocking software.

I use the "AdBlock" extension for the Safari Browser using Mountain Lion (the latest OS by Apple, ver. 10.8.2). Works great on these "intrusive ads." Thanks to Big-Will for mentioning this type of software some years ago (that's when I got the software), and continuing to mention it for new ppl. :)

Absolutely !

I wouldn't mind, but it's the same damn Daily Show advert every 7 minutes ... and I already visit the Daily Show website regularly ! Comedy Central could achieve exactly the same thing with a list of links to other sites on a side bar ... there's no need for video ads.

I'm with the above poster, unobtrusive ads are fine, and I'm happy to support them ... video ads (the SAME video ad) every 7 minutes is nonsense. If I wanted to watch programs in 7 minute chunks, I'd watch the cable.

So I'll just enable Adblock for this site, and they'll lose any revenue from other unobtrusive ads on the page, due to this terrible marketing decision.
