That news is unconfirmed - I haven't found any links outside of the post above that mention any date, much less that one, as the game's release date.

Also, the 31st will fall on a Monday, since this year is a leap year. Video games come out on Tuesdays.

Amazon release dates that far ahead of time, are unreliable at best. They're letting people pre-order so they have to set some release date, (subject to change), to actually take the orders. We could see the game out in time for the holiday buying season, in December. But I'm thinking late Jan/ early Feb 2013 in reality.

I couldn't find that issue anywhere around here!

Anyway, as far as release date goes, it'll be a while before anything can be determined. They're shooting for late this year, but even there, things can change.

Heh, I knew it would take longer than a year, even if they have been developing it for a time already. I'm officially placing my bet that it's not out until a few months into 2013, sometime between April and June. (Which I'm fine with, btw, because I want it to be good and relatively free of bugs. Buggy games suck ass.)

I hope it uses polygons, i heard a rumor it was going to be totally 2D like the show..... i really hope not.
Just saying, i prefer 3D when in such a world.
I actually loved the southpark game that came out a ways back on the N64 and PS1 back in the day.. it was fun.

Ahhh... so it will play like Ultima Online does, only with an updated engine and South Park graphic style. Great, I can live with that.

according to another website, on march 13th, obsidian (company working on the game) laid off several empployees. Hope this wont have any big effect on quality and production.

Just Rally and Chef's Luv Shack. I was a big fan of the N64 South Park games.
