I've learned that if you attack our government and congress with weapons grade anthrax you won't even be known as a terrorist. Just an 'anthrax attacker'. I've learned that while the US hunts for even a 'vial' of dangerous material in other nations someone can live here just fine with an unknowable amount of one of the most dangerous forms of biological warfare known to man.
T&M make great points in this episode, but the true zen of south park is to truely look at situations in many lights, and that INCLUDES T&M themselves. These guys sit around making cartoons all day. Not much more productive than a hippie jam fest really. Both you could argue change people artistically and that in turn helps change the world, bla bla, but not a big difference. That makes them hypocrites, the root word for, oh no, HIPPIE!!!!! The biggest thing I've learned is that big ****ing A**hole Osama simply stated that all they had to do was nudge America and they would destroy themselves, glad to see you guys are helping to prove him right by finding tiny divisions between yourselves and your tastes!!
One other note, Slayer drives protests away someone wrote? What effin decade do you people live in? What year is this 1985?? Even some dead horse or obituary would be a bit stronger than pussy music like Slayer. I live in Austin Texas of all places and theres a ton of great heavy shows after protests that would blow any cheezy weak slayer out of the water.
Buts its good to know that here in the US where eugenics was invented, nazi's are doing fine and well!! And please dont' label me as some hippy lefty either, I think hypocrites on all sides deserve their just slaps, thats why this episode is so funny for those it does put in their place. But once you get like the one poster on here saying "hipies should be casperated', I guess he meant castrated, then you are on the road to being a true hippie/nazi!! The right and left are full of hippie(crits). Don't worry, I"m not saying lets all make it better, you can't. Remember also, the 'hippies' that started protesting in vietman were not even pot smoking hypocrits yet, they were average folks from normal families that saw it was wrong when the democrats faked an attack on our own ship, then launched a war that destroyed 3 MILLION people in south east asia, most farmers and such that didn't have a clue what socialism was. And one other note on the true hippieness of T&M, without hippy music from the Beatles/Hendrix/The Who, there would be no black sabbath, and in turn no metal, no punk, no deathmetal, none at all.

damn right!!!

i love south park, its one of THE greatest tv shows of all time in my book, always so f*cking hilarious. but i hate how they're always going off on liberals. :x wtf matt and trey? are u part of the right-wing conspiracy controlling our country?, trying to manipulate the public into believing right-wing bullsh*t, while the politicians sit idly by and let the corporations rob us of our money, health, and freedom? god, i hated the hippie episode. cartman should have been left to rot in jail for what he was trying to do to all those people. i did think the drill thing was kind of funny though. but why would cartman go and do such a horrible thing as break up a jam band festival with music by slayer? :cartmansopissedrightnow: slayer sucks ass!! cartman should've put in a phish, dave matthews, blues traveler, or OAR cd.
aside from what i said in my rant, i think south park kicks ass!! i'd love to have a dolphinoplasty. 8)

i have learned that although hippies preach love, peace and tolerance of one another they are full of crap. hippies tried to create a utopian society in episode 902. now listen to me, children, utopian societies are bad. they are like cults. while utopian societies seem cool at face value, they are really totally stupid and gay. they almost choked out south park, because of their stupid jam band festival.

the other point i would like to observe: the methods used to fix the hippie problem (cartman, violence, and even slayer) are all considered "evil" in this day and age. now isn't it interesting that when the powers of love and peace become too much, and threaten life as we know it, the public turns to what some people see as evil.

you see children, i think we owe cartman a big "thank you" for taking the time to care.

p.s. slayer saved the day with reign in blood... KICK ASS!!! :cartmanevil:

Actually hippies have more in common with Nazi's than they have difference. Both want to use the power of government to impose their own warped view of a utopian society.

The only difference between the hippies and the Nazi's is that the Nazi's were willing to take up arms and die for their warped idea, whereas the hippies just want to pick up peace signs and protest their way to utopia.

Hippies are the pussy version of Nazi's.

Ok boys and girls! Class is really easy today. First, just take only two brain cells, and rub them together.

No hippie music=No heavy metal, punk, alternative, etc, etc

Very easy really.

No hippie music=no bands like slayer.

Very very easy. Heavy metal didn't even grow out of rock-n-roll, it grew out of the malformed rock and roll brought on by those evil 60's hippies. From the Pretty Things to Jimmy Hendrix to John Lennon smashing in his amp to get that fuzzy crunch guitar on Revolution, on to greats like Black Sabbath.

At least thank hippies for all the forms of metal, death, and even punk we have today.

Isnt' that just so cute! This third grader actually thinks that any movement of people in a society to push ideas forward, (especially living in a democracy, lol) are light forms of nazi's! The civil rights movement included I bet. All those blacks did was march and protest to try to say that they are 'humans' or something or should be treated as 'equals'. It's funny to think that these kids that sooo much hate these 'hippy' rock shows, would never find themselves at one, so they have no way of knowing anything about real people. Of course the animated hippies in the fiction world of episode 902 were idiots and hypocrites. They sure were, everything they said. I'm sure some of these stereotypes exist. But the last time I heard any lefties talking about what they wanted in 'changing society' had nothing to do with utopia. Even simplistic films like easy rider already burned dumb hippies for just trying to recreate society off to themselves. The only thing I hear is stuff like, we want decent wages to work on, or women deserve equal rights, or at least don't cut ALL the redwoods down. Pretty simple stuff it seems.

There are two types of hippie, one a waste of oxygen, the other a threat to mankind.

The former just likes to bitch, if they get their way on one issue they find something else to bitch about. Their "causes" give them an excuse to sit around smoking dope and not "conforming to society" (getting a real job).

The dangerous hippie is the true believer that thinks they know better than anyone else how society should be, and get jobs in politics or teaching in order to implement their marxist plans or brainwash our children to follow them.

Don't confuse their "good intentions" with good results. The road to Hell was paved with good intentions.

First off, calling any people a waste of oxygen is a pretty violent statement in itself. Once again, I'd love to hear your opinions on how the civil rights movement were all just people bitching as well. I can possibly concieve in any scientific manner how South Park could be on television today if it wasn't for all the cultural revolutions in the sixties. There is NO possible way South Park would exist. You called me a hippie back because you obviously think that anyone who defends someone is that thing itself. That would be weird wouldn't it? Wierd science! I see multiple sides all moving together in one perfect ocean that balances itself out in the end. Hypocrites of all types create a functional balance of ideas and we can call that clumsy thing democracy, wonderful. The right does the same thing themselves, going from one topic to bitch about, like gay marriage, to the next like don't let Terry Schiavio die. Right to life. Interesting. So killing 100,000 civilians in Iraq was justified because in the end it will make the world a better place. Perhaps so we'll see. But these people won't even kill a stem cell to help make the world a better place! So basically Iraqi's are worth less than stem cells.
