The bear killed him. Chef won't be back...Trey and Matt made sure of that.

Just because 'having the most hypocritical man in the world voicing him' isn't on the list, i'll go for 'he'll be back' coz i love Chef. Down by the fire. And i don't want to love a corpse (even if he can make love/ even when he's dead, i can't). So i hope he comes back. Unless it's as a scientolegist/ a child molestor's better thsn that!

he had to be killed because the actor playin chef quited because he's a hipocrit he made fun of almost all cults and then they made fun of his cult in a series nine episode and he quited so the makers of south park where pissed off and killed him in the most inhumane way possible. didn't u notice that chefs voice was made out of old bits of when e said stuff in other episodes because he had already quited [i]remember that song he sung in the first episode well he said that again but the chainging it weirdly at de end idiot[/i]

well, they killed chef but also they dedicatea a whole episode to kill him. they killed that bus driver woman, mrs. crabtree or what ever in a sec, and didnt mention her in rest of the episode.

Exactly what I thought..what a hypocrite!!! look back over the years of south park...all sorts of cults,religions have been mocked.....even most ways of life have been ridiculed for our entertainment...(and it has been very entertaining) and issac hayes was always willing to take the cash until he gets all defensive over the scientologhy bull crap!!!!!! what a hypocrite.....chef has always been just a glorified extra..i wont really notice that he gone for good personally!

I noticed in the later seasons, he had a much less significant role. I mean, yeah, it's a real burn that he's not around, but I think we've moved on without him and did it well. It's not that big a loss.

he will be in the future episodes hopefully

Well, I fear that Chef as we knew him is long gone. I'm always hoping for the appearance of Darth Chef, and a subsequent Star Wars-esque battle or somesuch, but I don't think that will happen either.

Well, Issac Hayes left the show, so they had to get rid of the character. There are many threads on the subject, just search for "Chef" or "Issac Hayes", and filter the search by subject.
