Well, this was back in 1997 when the show was in its first stages, but you do make a good point, they should've stuck with one colored kid (lol) from 1997-now. BTW I never notice token making that many appearances anymore. Why?

He's been in another episode (Damien, I think), but it can't be that they hadn't decided him to be black yet... because black Token is the very first episode! He sits next to Cartman in school!

Black Token was in the very first episode. It was probably just the creaters picking a random new character from old body parts. In one of the Christmas specials, they boys make a stop-motion video, and they explain why sometimes the mouths disappear, because they reuse the same "mouth" pieces for each identical syllable. That's probably the same way that they made "White Token". You can assume his name is Tony or Tim or Taylor.
