This episode was pretty crappy pardon the pun. Anyway if the government was not involved in 9/11 they sure took advantage of it to control public opinion for their wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. They also made a terror chart to make sure the terror caused by the "Muslim extremists" lasted for a long as possible. If they aren't responsible for the planes, the government still used 9/11 to create terror and pass laws which allow them to spy on us such as the Patriot act.
