Stan (possibly reflecting Trey's preference) sucks and probably has small hands. Those stupid little dual shock controllers are one of the cons of the PS4 as far as I'm concerned.

I loved seeing so many old characters. Bill and Fosse (when was the last time they appeared?), Dougie, Wayne D from TMI, Scott Malkinson, ugly kids from The List... Was there anyone else that I missed?

It also could be a one-parter. It was an episode about Black Friday. Next week could fool us and be about something else. (I hope it's a two-parter or a trilogy, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is it for this subject).

For now, I'll just say:

WINTER IS COMING!

XBOX ONE!

CHOOSE A SIDE!

Your title's comment: Ohhhhhh come on!!! Brack Friday Bunduru???

Your comment: Hope not happens again, because I'm with a great expectation about a possible new intro, based on Game of Thrones intro. What you all think about it?

When I said "Informative Murder Porn" was the best episode this season, I spoke too soon. I loved everything about this episode! The Elmo thing was weak, but everything else was on point, which is sooo rare to say these days. This episode was like a true classic. I've really been loving Randy this season, but I'm still a Kyle fan at heart. I don't play video games, but XBox One for me because Stan has screwed over Kyle now for two weeks in a row. Thumbs down on him. (no offense Stanluv)

9.6/10 This HAS to be a two-parter or else I'm never watching this show again because of the sheer volume of disappointment and angriness that would result.

This was easily my favourite episode of the season.

I have previously cited Let Go, Let Gov, Informative Murder Porn, Taming Strange, and Ginger Cow as being the best episodes of the season for me, but in my opinion this episode trumped any of the aforementioned episodes from both a comedic standpoint and a structural standpoint. That is, it was hilarious and the writing of the plot kept me on the edge of my seat and left me eagerly awaiting next week's second part/follow-up episode.

Comedic highlights for me:
*"Don't Touch Me There" Elmo (I'm sure everyone here is aware of this, but this was especially funny as it wasn't just some random, ridiculous, throwaway joke - it was a legitimate reference to a scandal involving Elmo's voice actor)
*The Sony CEO with the random hooker
*"Brack Friday Bunduru"
*"That's how Xbox people are"
*The dialogue from Cartman about preordering games. Seemed to be poking fun at the devs of Stick of Truth
*Butters hilarious dialogue around his fixation with wieners shown in Game of Thrones/on HBO
*The Randy subplot - "I'm a sneaky little bee: bzz bzz" (much as I love Randy I also love that they seemed to find the proper balance between this plot and the main plot with the kids)

All in all, this episode is worthy of an easy, solid 10/10. The only thing I was waiting for in the Randy plot (or in the episode at all) was for the mall security guards to say "Ay! What're you doin? Move along sir" but I do see how the show has evolved a lot since that point in its history and I also see how that joke/gag would've been difficult to tie in to this episode.

Anyway, greatly anticipating next week's episode.

Wow and I thought last week was great. The guys are on a roll now!

I don't know much about Game of Thrones, but that clearly didn't matter because of how well the story is on its own. When the head security guard is killed and Randy is like, "You can't die, everyone really likes you." I can tell that is a reference to a specific event in that series. But the joke still holds up without that knowledge. That's how you know when you've done parody right.

Seeing just about every kid character in the series (that's not dead) at some point was really awesome. It must have been fun deciding who would take which side.

Cartman is such a goddamn hypocrite for giving those kids shit for playing Star Trek. Remind me again what our four protagonists were doing at the start of Passion of the Jew?
That's right.

I am going to predict that Kenny switching sides is part of some underhanded scheme by the Xbox side. Oh and Kenny as a princess? That's so ridiculous and funny.

Loved the jab at pre-ordering as a reference to how they've been hosed over The Stick of Truth.

As far as the Xbox vs PS thing, personally I find the Xbox controller to be more ergonomic. Plus I'm into Halo. However I am not about to let Microsoft have a camera in my domicile, so I'm going to pass on the Xbox1 at this time. Bad enough they want to force people to be online to play their damn games. Besides I'm not exactly in the market for a new console at this time.

im not sure if that part about pre-ordering games was a joke at the ridiculousness of the stick of truth..but if so it was pretty funny
I pre ordered it dec 2012 when the release date was april 2013 and even then I was almost standing outside the store, pacing back and forth saying "CMON...CMMOOOONNNN". Then it got pushed back to december 2013, then again til march 2014...Now I am seriously considering freezing myself

this has to be a definite top 10 episode of all-time now that I think about it

I thought it would be too early to decide but it's not... it was incredible, a true return to classic form

Gonna have to echo the praise for this episode.

Who wants to bet that Butters's obsession with wieners is going to end up being significant to the plot's resolution?
Characters Ranked by Speaking Appearances...y'know, if you care about useless, autistic trivia like that.

Favorite Characters: Randy, Yates, and Butters
Favorite Episode: Cartman's Incredible Gift
Favorite Pairing: Randy x Sharon

Can someone explain to me how this episode is good?

It seemed to do the same old "treat something trivial as if it's the most serious/dramatic thing in the world" joke with the Black Friday staff.

Then the boys play-fighting...we've already had this. They keep doing the "adult interrupts the boys' fantasy and brings it back to reality" joke. The same "Star Trek/Star Wars/Harry Potter roleplayers are gay/fags."

They're re-hashing old formulas.
My name is Brendle, and I think Trey Parker is a genius.

I didn't see it as a rehash. I saw it as an early Christmas gift from Matt and Trey to all old fans of the show who enjoy it for those exact reasons you stated. It was like one big nostalgia ride, and their parody of game of thrones plus the Elmo scandal was perfect

I'm also thankful we're finally given a boys being boys episode. One of those have been long overdue

This is easily going to be a two-parter. Maybe even 3-parter. They couldn't possibly incorporate XBOX One vs PS4 in the next episode (one console being inferior to the other, etc.) and showing the apps on it, etc.

Maybe, but in a good, more creative fashion. Their recent over reliance on the old jokes is a two-way street, meaning it works only "as long as what you wanna do is what everybody wants you to." I believe all the negative feedback they had received for the previous three or four episodes reminded M&T about that old formula of theirs. It's like cooking, where the outcome depends not so much on the ingredients at hand, but on the way you're cooking them. Or music, where you can compose either a symphony or cacaphony, using basically the same limited number of notes. It's no rocket science, y'know. More like sexual stimulation. Suffice it to say M&T know our "erogenous zones" well enough. They know them all too well, actually.

I agree that is not a blow my mind episode (and that is what I expect in every episode) but is a nice episode, with shocking ideas. And I like that too. But it is harder.

SP is a rare kind of comedy where we have ideas (ideologies, creeds, perception about the reality, yada yada) confronted with one each other. And is difficult to do it. It 's not like the comedy Reno 911!, for example. With their geniality too, Reno 911! talks about the reality itself extrapolated, or "blowing the reality, not the ideas". Despite it, we know that SP also likes to explode the reality. But the geniality comes brighter when SP puts the abstract ideas and the commom sense on a assay tube and throw fire upon it.

Back to the episode, for the next, I expect something totally out of our horizon, something like: Black Friday - Sony - Star Wars - Microsoft - aliens alliance with Star wars group - Syria and Russia, all searching a black Hole "Holy" Day. With a Game of Thrones intro. A blow my mind episode.
