I just saw the episode and I had no clue who that old guy they were accusing of murder was so I looked it up

The case remained unsolved until March 2009, when police issued a warrant naming Ingmar Guandique as the murderer of Chandra Levy. Guandique is a prison inmate who had confessed to two other attacks on women in Rock Creek Park.

Now I know he's not a completely nice/decent person, but since he was found innocent of murder, did the show's creators ever apologize for accusing him of such a huge crime?

Dude, just because someone in found innocent does not mean that they are, matt and trey can pretty much say whatever they want and i don't think they would apologize to someone like gary condit or any of the other celebrities they make fun of
