I have an idea. Remember when Liane turned out to be cartmans dad and not his mom? what if his mom turned out to be Shiela Brovlofski, making Cartman Jewish and his parents made him practice the religion and become a Jew? Then Kyles mom stops paying attention to Kyle and Kyle gets all jealous. Whatever. It sort of sucks.

I added to the Mythbusters episode idea that they should test made-up Jew-related nonense like "Jews can't see themselves in the mirror", etc, on the Brofvlovskis. And their tests would of course involve stopwatches, icicles, carberators, and other random sh*t. Or an episode where the Iranian president tries to hire (or kidnap) the Mythbusters to disprove the holocaust, and perhaps some of his racialist Anglo-Saxon-centric hate ideologies. And the episode ends with like a two minute scene of Iranian Prez getting his f*cking ass kicked, and it is sweet and glorious.

Shiela: Oh hello Eric.

Cartman: ....um, if this is about <insert something funny here>

Shiela: Oh no, actually Eric- we're here to ... tell you something.

Shiela: You see Eric.. <sentimental music, slow zoom in begins> we've just come back from the doctor and, we actually had a look at some of our old files....and...it turns out that....

Gerald: ....<i>we're</i>your parents...and <i>your</i> mother is Kyle's hermaphodite mother/father....

Shiela: We just though you should know Eric, we thought it would be unfair to keep a secret like this from you.

Eric: <blank expression>

Shiela: Eric sweetie? Are you alright?

Eric: <speaking in a gentle 'plotting' voice> Do you realize what this means? This means that I have had all the power in the world given to me....nothing will ever prevent me from doing my bidding upon the world, ever...

Shiela: well...what do you mean, Eric?

Eric: I mean...that I am a freaking jew!!

*Montage of Eric doing "jewish" things; trying on designer yamulkas, cutting out coupons, etc

*Cartman stops by one morning for breakfast, completely imposing on the Brofvlovski household; he calls them mom, dad; they try and politely tell him they don't consider themselves to really be family

For the rest of the episode Eric become insanely pushy/greedy etc with everyone, constantly hanging his newfound jewishness over everyone's head; including Kyle who he now insults for being a gentile.

*Eric goes to Torah youth group at a synagogue; everything he says is totally loud, rude, much to Kyle's displeasure ( "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize that GENTILES had the authoritah over us jews, you freaking gent! "

And at some point there should be a second montage where instead of practising boxing on a puncingbag, it's Eric practising whipping a fake dummy of Jesus Christ, in slow motion

i'm trying to factor in a plot, but i cant. it is like one of cartman's stupid schemes and he was faking any appreciation to begin with, but, i don't know.

No no, he's overly thrilled to be Jewish, that's what the episode is about. But he gets too greedy with it and in some way has his jewishness revoked as a result.

Wow, this idea has only been said like 58 times. Let's go for 60! Sorry but the idea wouldn't work. It would ruin the show it Cartman was Jewish. You just can't have him become Jewish. He wants to destroy jews, Sure it would be ironic, but a little too ironic.

The irony is hardly interesting to me, the point is an episode which portrays comically unfavourable attempts at abusing cultural prestige (by none other than Eric Cartman.)

And again, in my suggestion Cartman does not retain his anti-simetic posturing, his anti-semitism dissolves rather quickly in upon learning that he is God's chosen people, and Kyle Broflovski is technically not.

i think it would only be good if in the end we find out he isnt related to the brofloskis and it was a mistake and in the end there is an awkward silence then cartmen say i dont fucken care why would i wanna be a stupid jew anyway greedy bastards or sumthin like that

Did Cartman ever get circumcised at the end of Ike's Wee Wee (He and Stan were both gonna have it)?

I would hesitate to think that forums are the superior source of reliable information compared to reference databases. That aside, I did watch the episode today. No, Cartman and Stan do not get circumsized in that episode.

I had an idea similar to this in April, go back 3 pages and read "Cartman is Jewish". I figured Mrs. Broflovski could be Cartmans mom if she was impregnated using invitro fertilization or something like that. In otherwords, she gave birth to him but technically is not his mother since his egg (embryo) could be someone elses, fertilized and implanted. It's a little long but I tried to figure out how in the end you could do this and keep up the jew bashing.

Definetly -- Someone suddenly finds there wasn't a filing error to begin with, and Cartman is Shiela's son, not the Brofvlovskis; Right in the middle of a some kind of Gentile-bashing rally or something that Cartman is leading.

This is an O.K. idea, but it sounds too much like "The Entity" and "The Passion of the Jew"
