When Cartman asks the Mexiacns to write essays for them on the book 'The Old Man In The Sea' he doesnt just refer to them as essays but as summaries which is repeated by one of the mexicans in understanding. By both Catman and the Mexicans calling them summaries it should have effectively stopped the confusion of essays meaning friends.
