So which Character should have the last storyline as the midseason finale? I think that either Cartman or Kenny should have the last story line or maybe another Cartman Vs Kyle episode for the mid season finale. :zombiekenny: :unhoodedkenny: :cartmanlaugh:

Nice this one, I'm impressed it's a nice warm up for the mid season finale. I'm waiting for episode 1307.

I liked it, because it gave me back that old south park feeling.

Felt rushed to me, but of course since they make every episode in a week that's going to happen once in a while, so it's all good. I laughed a few times, so it wasn't the worst episode, but far from the best. Still can't wait for next weeks mid-season finale.

This plot doesn't make any sense: space cash wouldn't have any value to any nation unless people place value in it.

We don't know much of anything of the universe.

Why pretend that we do?

I think three currencies would be best: a local currency (state), a national currency, and an international currency.

That way, people could most efficiently use the right currency. The local currency would be used to help small businesses, the national currencies would help growing and expanding businesses, and international currencies would help self-actualized businesses such as Wal-Mart and McDolands.

Well, I just watched it again for the second time.... And still my opinion hasn't changed. It's just missing something. It was funny in parts like when Randy dressed up as leia... (think thats how ya spell it.) or when the pinewood car just took off.... but other than that it just went all over the place. Oh well.... I am in accordance with everyone else, I can't wait for next week for the midseason finale!!! Hope its a good one!

Dude.... this is a South Park forum, Not a UN meeting on the economic status of all the countries. You make sense when you say the plot is out there.... but come on, it's a cartoon.

Loved the episode. Felt very old-school South Park to me. Keep it up, T&M!

To be honest this episode was a little too science-fiction for my tastes, but it was a pretty funny episode anyway. It definitely wasn't what I was expecting either (in a good way).

For a lot of you guys complaining about the plot of this episode and watch Family Guy too, Family Guy doesn't exactly follow a plot either, but they still manage to be funny and entertaining with off-the-wall jokes.

These past three episodes, I believe Matt and Trey have really gotten back to the roots of what South Park was really about. Making us laugh with off-the-wall comedy without spoofing a movie or basing an episode completely on current events.
I just want an erection so that I can give it to my mom.

I have to agree with you, this whole season has gone back to what SP used to be... But this one, well... it was just out there. Kudos to you though for admiting that you watch Family Guy, it takes a brave soul to do that... Cartman would kick your ass if he heard you say that!!! HAHAHA!!

South Park does something better than any other show does: it tells the truth. And because it tells the truth, we should be allowed to talk about anything that relates to the episode.

You talked about an international currency, so I'm talking about it as well.

I see no foul, wrongness, or falsity about it.

If South Park just lied about important issues, no one would watch it: that's what makes South Park superior to other shows: it has the ability to transcend itself and even mock itself (such as Cartoon Wars), and mock the people who support them. And in the end, we all just laugh about it. That's what makes South Park so funny. The episode on the economic stimulus Obama is doing was great - what Bush and Obama have been doing is exactly the same thing: driving us towards socialism, and I think the government needs to focus on progressive philosophical thoughts than to just ween us with government jobs that provide no means to self-actualized egoism.

You can only have an ego if you don't lie.

And to that, there needs to be a part 2 to this episode.

We need to know the conclusion because if aliens blocked us from the rest of the universe in a "cube", then, we wouldn't receive any sunlight.

The part 2 should come to an end when Randy tells the truth and somehow the aliens could hear ... like through a radio or something, use the lead to power an intergalactic radio or something...

Just a thought.

The cube was transparent though, sun could get thru i would think.... I like your idea of a part 2 to this episode, running with what you are going off of... bring back the aliens to earth and have Randy appologize like he did in the episode where he appologized to Jesse Jackson!!! HAHA!

It seems very odd to make a show without any real references. Of course people will say the theme is that you shouldn't lie. Ok, thats clear. But why involve aliens and the leaders of the world to do this? You could create a wide range of episodes from the "Don't lie" idea. I don't think that its this easy.

To recap, aliens visit earth, the worlds leaders are complicit in lying to them, we hoard "space cash" which we think holds value, and they reject us from admittance into their galactic federation or whatever it is because of our selfish greed. Is that fair enough?

Let's say, just like the former Canadian Defense Minister says, that aliens do exist. Would the episode not make a whole lot more sense? That we're too selfish and greedy to be able to be a part of anything greater?
