Does anyone else think that it is starting to get weird that Season 8 is almost out? I know it really isn't; it just seems that way.

When seasons 4 and 5 came out on DVD, it was so awesome because they were favorite episodes from about 5 years ago. Now the cover of the Season 8 box memorilizes the Plays With Weapons episode which feels like it was brand new only a couple months ago (I know it was a couple years, but it still feels new). I guess it just seems that way because they are creating the box sets faster than they are creating episodes, but it's causing the product to lose the nostalgic value that other seasons had.

Maybe that's just me, though.

Hell Director: I'm afraid it was the Mormons. Yes, Mormons were the correct answer.

Does anyone else think that the description for Season 8 is kind of broad? I mean all they say is this:

"All fourteen episodes from South Park’s out-of-control eighth
season are now available for the first time in this exclusive 3-disc collector’s set. Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman find themselves in the middle of hot-button political issues and celebrity shenanigans. Season eight is capped off with a very special Christmas episode done in the way only South Park does Christmas! For these four boys, it’s all part of growing up in South Park!"

I mean, that's it? They doesn't really say anything about Season 8 at all. Couldn't they be a bit more creative than that?
What do weird people and poor people have in common?

Weird people make no sense.
Poor people make no cents.

Yeah, it should've been something like "In this season, Stan learns the importance of voting, Kyle sees The Passion of the Christ, Cartman enters the special olympics, and Kenny takes on the role of Michael Jackson's son Blanket. So join these four tykes as they take on Mel Gibson, PETA, Paris Hilton, and the anti-christ itself! For them, it's all a part of growing up in South Park." References to the actual episodes is a good thing.

Isn't anyone else looking forward to the mini-commentaries just as much? To me, the commentaries are half the value! I can't wait to hear their insights on episodes like Passion of the Jew and such.

It's pretty awesome that I get more episodes.

Seriously - they can release seasons between runs and then they can just make movies (hint, hint) to release between runs.
