It seems as if Trey Parker and Matt Stone have decided to contribute to the Youth of the nation by helping influence our ideas on the mentally and physically challenged.

By airing this show on TV, we are able to laugh WITH* these reporters, and it has personally helped me develop an ease around physically and mentally challenged people. (It's not that I don't LIKE physically and mentally challenged people, it's because I used to feel uncomfortable around them because of some kind of sense of guilt that they were happy to live even though they have an illness, and I myself am not a happy person, even though I have my health, i.e. GUILT and sympathy).This show will teach America's Youth that they must view these reporters as people who have a mental and physical challenge, but everything else about them is normal. Even though they may have different levels of cognitive or physical capacity, they're still HUMANS who have likes and dislikes, preferences, hobbies, some have families, etc.

In addition, this particular group of people will help create an image of a happy group: they maintain a positive outlook on life because they continue to enjoy their lives in the face of adversity. This show will help shatter that idea of "them" and "us": the barrier for perfectly healthy humans to regard challenged humans as a "them": "the handicapped" or "the retarded".

Thanks Matt and Trey for giving back to the community. I've said it once, and I've said it again, I'd vote for you guys if you ran for office. :-p
